We only do roofs, and we do the whole roof: the deck, the ventilation, the underlayment and the shingles or metal on top. Where we find soft plywood, we replace it instead of shingling over it. That is why our 10-year workmanship warranty is easy to give. We have been an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor since 2019, our crew is WSIB cleared, and we carry $5 million in liability insurance. Who we are
705 Roofing is owned and run by Adem Yumnu. Adem started the company in 2017 and still quotes and oversees the work himself. We are based in Stayner, and most of our roofs are in Wasaga Beach, Stayner and the rest of Simcoe County. We also work in Collingwood, along Georgian Bay, and north into Huntsville and Muskoka.
We do two kinds of roofs: asphalt shingle roofs and standing seam metal roofs, on houses, garages and new builds. We also handle roof repairs, small flat sections on a house, roof decking and plywood replacement, and attic insulation and ventilation. We roof new homes for local builders as well as homes that are 30 years old and due.
We do not install eavestroughs, fascia, soffit or siding. If your job needs that work, we will tell you, and we can point you to a trade we trust.
What we check before we quote
A roof is a system. The shingles or panels are the part you see, but the deck under them, the underlayment, the ice and water barrier, the flashing and the vents decide how long the roof lasts. So we look at all of it before we give you a number.
- The roof deck. Plywood that has gone soft or delaminated gets replaced, not covered over. On one Barrie replacement in spring 2026 the whole deck came off and 54 new sheets went on before a single shingle.
- Attic ventilation and insulation. Poor airflow shortens the life of shingles and feeds ice dams. We check intake and exhaust, and we can top up insulation while the roof is open.
- Flashing, valleys and penetrations. Many leaks start here, not in the middle of a slope.
- What the roof needs, in one recommendation. We give you one clear plan and a price for it, rather than a menu of options to decode.
Materials we stand behind
705 Roofing has been an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor since 2019. Most of our shingle roofs use Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration shingles, and because of our contractor status we can register Owens Corning’s extended warranties on your new roof. On metal roofs we install Canadian-made standing seam panels. On ventilation we use proven roof vents and ridge vents, and we have installed a Velux skylight during a re-roof.

How a job goes
- You call or send the form. We book a site visit.
- Adem looks at the roof, and the attic where it matters, explains what he finds, and recommends one approach.
- You get a written quote. No pressure. If you come back to it months later, we pick up where we left off. The price may need an update if costs have changed since.
- On the job, we tear off the old roof, fix the deck where it needs it, install the new system and clean up. Tarps protect the lawn and gardens.
- We register any Owens Corning warranty for you, and your 10-year workmanship warranty covers the new roof.
